Transition Coaching Process
The typical Transition Coaching for an Executive or Professional in a transition
phase inside a company includes these four components - a situation analysis,
identification of key success factors for the upcoming transition, coaching for
solutions, feedback and closure with key stakeholders.
Situation Analysis
| We support the candidate to analyze his/her resources on
the basis of past successes and mirror these against the
observations of stakeholders in the company:
|
| |
- Guided and structured self assessment of candidates on the basis of a structured interview
- Discussion with company stakeholders about strategy-, organization- and people issues relevant for the transition
- Rigorous "mirror" session comparing self and external assessments leading to solutions for the transition to a new role
Key Success Factors
| Candidate and coach work out a roadmap for the transition on
the basis of the SolutionCoaching "Three Factor Model" that fits
to candidate's strengths and style:
|
| |
- Determining the results to be achieved in the new role over a specific period
- Defining necessary organizational support by his/her team, peers, supervisor or external partners
- Identifying the candidate's existing leadership skills and learning needs
- Cross-checking of road map with the supervisor/other stakeholders in the company
Transition Coaching
| The coach is available for a defined period of time according a
candidate's requirements:
|
| |
- Each session is centered on the needs of a candidate with agreed objectives
- Sessions typically contain debriefing, feedback and role playing of "real life" situations
- The coaching can also include observation and feedback on the work place
Closure
| The coaching will typically conclude with feedback to the
company in the presence of the candidate.
